One crew. One dispatch point. Twenty-four cities.
Built By Glass dispatches every project from our Pickering headquarters. The same install crew that delivers your free measure returns on install day — no subcontractor handoffs, no separate sales team, no project-management chain between you and the people on site with tools.
Why a single dispatch point matters
A single crew operating across the full GTA delivers something subcontractor-network installers cannot: standard consistency. Every Built By Glass installation in Toronto follows the same measure protocol, hardware specification, and silicone application as every install in Caledon, Burlington, or Oshawa.
The trade-off is scheduling cadence. Pickering-to-Toronto is 45–60 minutes; Pickering-to-Burlington is 90 minutes. We are upfront about this at booking — same-day measures are routine in Durham, 2–3 business days standard for Toronto, 3–5 business days standard for the far-western Halton-Peel addresses.
Zone hub vs city page — which to use
The 24 cities above each have their own dedicated page covering city-specific permit landscape, housing characteristics, and scheduling. If you know your city, start there.
The four service zone pages cover broader operational area — multi-municipality logistics, regional permits, travel from Pickering HQ. If your address is in a smaller community (Kleinburg, Brooklin, Courtice, etc.), the zone hub is your destination.
Realistic timelines for each zone.
Every zone gets the same install quality. What varies is dispatch logistics. Here is what to actually expect.
Durham Region (HQ)
Distance: 0–45 km | Drive: 0–45 min | Measure: same-day to 48 hr | Install: standard 10–14 business days (often 8–12 in-zone)

What stays the same. What varies by zone.
A Built By Glass installation in Pickering and a Built By Glass installation in Burlington are the same job, delivered to the same standard. But the surrounding context — permit landscape, housing stock, dispatch logistics — varies meaningfully across the four zones we cover.
What is identical on every install
Every Built By Glass installation uses the same glass certification (ANSI Z97.1 / CAN/CGSB 12.1 fully tempered safety glass), the same hardware suppliers (CRL, Richelieu, FMF, Obsidian), the same silicone specification, and the same post-tile measure protocol. The 5-year written workmanship warranty is the same on a $1,200 Pickering shower and a $35,000 King City estate package. One standard, applied identically everywhere we work.
What varies by zone
- Permit landscape. Toronto is one amalgamated city. York Region is 7 separate municipalities. Halton-Peel is 8 municipalities. Durham is 5. Each zone hub covers the relevant building departments.
- Housing stock. Toronto is the most varied (condos to Edwardian renovations). York Region has the most estate-scale custom builds. Halton-Peel spans urban high-rises to lakefront. Durham is era-diverse.
- Dispatch logistics. Drive time to Durham 0–45 min; Toronto 45–75 min; Halton-Peel 70–100 min. Scheduling cadence reflects geography.
If your address is in a smaller community not listed (Bronte, Port Credit, Brooklin, Courtice, Newcastle, Kleinburg, Schomberg, etc.), the relevant zone hub covers the area. Book a free measure — we cover every postal code within an 80 km radius of our Pickering HQ without travel surcharge.
